Welcome to my Blog

Welcome to my Blog! I got this idea from a friend. I would like to have the motivation to continue this. I think it'll be nice. I won't update often/daily. Maybe once a month. But it'll be fine. I just can't hold myself to a high expectation. Oh well! Good luck to me!

January’s Watch List

I wanted to add something new this year to this blog! Usually, I write my watchlist in my personal notes, but I thought it would be good idea to add an extra post in case I don't post for a month. My watchlist's are pretty mixed up! I'll watch a show for a week and then stop watching. But I don't know if I should add those cause technically, I didn't watch the entire show. Just maybe a season. Those are mostly rewatches when I do that. I'll think about if I want to add those or not. For now, they are there! Likely you can tell they're a rewatch if I don't post a review about it or have already posted about it. (i.e this month-Archer) Enjoy!

TV Series Review: Harry and Meghan (Netflix, 2022)

Harry and Meghan is a 6 episode docuseries about the couple's love story and trauma they dealt with in the Palace and media. The series was created with the couple's production company, Archwell Productions. The timeline of the show starts in 2016 till 2022. Each episode is more than an hour long.

The episodes mostly contain the couple recounting the events of how they met and the choices they had to make to protect and saves themselves. It also contains clips of tv news reports and articles from those years the show flashbacks to. The first episode focuses on how the couple met and got together. The second episode shows how the couple faced the UK media when their relationship became public through another source. The next 4 episodes continue with the couple talking about the UK media and the toll it was taking on Markle.

Honestly, throughout the entire series, I was impressed with Netflix. They managed to be the destination to learn about The Royal Family. You can watch The Crown and see the whole history of how powerful The Royal Family was. Now they have the modern Royal Family's story through this docu-series. It's truly amazing for Netflix.

Harry and Meghan have spoken out about their time in the UK and working with the Royal Palace on their interview with Oprah, which was great during the time and enough for them to tell their side. While this series was nice to watch, I think this should be the last time they speak out about this time in their lives. The purpose of the show to them was to change people's perspectives about them but, most people will believe what they want to believe and there's not much to do to change that. Personally, I'm on Meghan's side because I like her and believe she went through a tough time in the UK. Considering the couple spoke about their shared love for philanthropy a lot on the show, I think they should focus more about their work and broadcast that on social media or another documentary. I think they should close this chapter of their lives and stop capitalizing off it. The media will never stop but Meghan and Harry can.

Harry and Meghan shows very personal details about the pair's life and the battles they've faced to get to the peace they have now. Do I reccomend this show? Probably only to people who like the couple. I think the show is more up for discussion for viewers rather than a clear answer to the drama we've seen for years. I think there are better docuseries' on Netflix. My personal favourites are Fyre and Jeffery Epstein: Filthy Rich.
